INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (iACE)
is a joint venture between Maruti Suzuki India Limited and the
Government of Gujarat with 50% equity stake each. iACE has been incorporated as a section 08
Company under the Companies
Act 2013. It is located near Pandit Deendayal Energy University in Gandhinagar and is spread
over an area of 9980 square
meter. The center hosts a world class institute catering to end to end training, skilling and
development needs of the
automobile ecosystem in India.
This industry first institute center hosts the latest state of
the art infrastructure
(this includes latest industry ready equipment and labs in addition to academic ready
infrastructure) to provide
hands-on learning experience to trainees. The institute draws upon the expertise of
industry-academia collaborations
with Indian and foreign players to ensure industry relevance of learning interventions.
The
Model for i-ACE has been
developed in line with the industry requirements and projected skill gap in the sector.
An ability to apply the knowledge gained by the graduate in the engineering to skill him/herself as per the latest tools or technology that are used in the industry.
An ability to analyze & interpret data received from various sources in the workplace and provide a solution to the identified problem.
An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
Use of problem-solving tools in analyzing and interpretation of data, synthesis of the information to provide valid solutions with the knowledge of contemporary issues.
An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
